Taste of Cove kicks off festival week
-
Vendor spaces are still available for the annual Taste of Cove exposition, scheduled for May 13 in the Copperas Cove Civic Center.
This year’s Taste of Cove chairperson, Nina Mickan, said it is still possible for businesses to get prime locations for the special event.
The Taste of Cove, Mickan said, gives local businesses an opportunity to show off what they do best to the consuming public. Taste of Cove visitors, on the other hand, get a chance to pick up all kinds of great promotional give-away items and to sample the best local restaurants and delis have to offer.
“All of those great things are available for the low admission price of $2 for adults and $1 for kids,” Mickan said. “The Taste of Cove has been for many years the best food and entertainment bargain Copperas Cove has to offer.”
Vendor slots for the Taste of Cove are just $50 for businesses who are members of the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce, and $65 for businesses who aren’t. Vendors are supplied with an eight-foot table and two chairs in a 10-foot by 10-foot space. Multiple spaces may be purchased.
So far more than 20 local businesses have reserved space in the Taste of Cove.
“That’s pretty good for starters, but we’re expecting a lot more,” Mickan said. “We hope this will be the Taste of Cove’s biggest year ever.”
Last year’s Taste of Cove drew thousands of visitors to the Civic Center. This year’s event will open at 5 p.m. May 13 and will close at 8 p.m.
The local business exposition will kick off Festival of Five Hills week in Copperas Cove.
