Bingo comes to end
-
This issue marks the last time Leader-Press readers will be able to play Newspaper Bingo and the jackpot has now jumped to $400 in Bingo Bucks.
If no one wins this week, Newspaper Bingo players are invited to bring in their used bingo cards for a drawing.
To play Newspaper Bingo, readers of The Leader-Press should check the ads in each issue of The Leader-Press. The ads of the participating merchants will include “Bingo Bugs,” which will be stamped with the call letters and numbers distinctive to the game.
Occasionally, the “Bingo Bugs” may appear in other parts of the paper. Participants should read every issue and be sure to check the classifieds in The Leader-Press for any special bonus numbers.
Usually players must use a designated color card to play but this week bingo players can use any color card.
The winner or winners will share a prize of $400 in Bingo Bucks, which will spend the same as cash in the stores of any of the participating merchants. If there is no winner during this last week, players should bring in their used bingo cards for a special one -time drawing.
There is no obligation or purchase necessary. A copy of The Leader-Press will be available for public perusal at the newspaper’s office and the local library.
Newspaper Bingo cards also may be obtained by placing a request in writing to Newspaper Bingo Promotion. The requestor’s name and address should be typed or printed clearly.
Participating businesses include Ledger Furntiture, Scholtzsky’s Deli, the Carpet and Decorating Center, My Favorite Things, Baggett’s Drug Company, Russ’ Pizza and More and Crafter’s Showcase.
AmVets Post 90, Wanonah Council 3, Wampum Tribe 5, Central Texas Humane Society and Holy Family Catholic Church are sponsoring Newspaper Bingo at Playmor Bingo on Hwy. 190 in Cove and bingo cards can be picked up there as well.
