Fire fighters spent four hours getting the fire under control and used 45,000 gallons of water, said Johnny Caraway, CCFD fire inspector. Eleven CCFD personnel in seven units responded to the blaze, said Caraway, and a unit from Fort Hood assisted. Caraway said the structure was a total loss, with $50,000 in damages sustained. The fire possibly started due to an item left on the stove, he said. No one was injured in the fire as no one was home at the time.
