- Tiller
Services for Virginia Ruth Tiller, 87, were held on Wednesday in the Crawford Bowers Chapel. Mrs. Tiller died on Monday in a Belton nursing facility of natural causes. Cremation followed the services.
Mrs. Tiller was born Dec. 8, 1915, in Fort Worth and raised and educated there, attending elementary school and Central High School. She lived in El Paso for 16 and 1/2 years and then moved to Fort Campbell, Kent. She married Jess Tiller on July 29, 1940 in Alamogordo, N.M. and moved to Copperas Cove in 1964.
Mrs. Tiller was preceded in death by husband Jess Tiller who died on May 22, 1994. She is survived by sons Jeff F. (Skip) Tiller, of Murrida, Calif., John E. Tiller of Kyle, Robert E. Tiller of San Marcos and Richard E. Tiller of Copperas Cove. Daughters Linda J. Osuna of Temple, Elizabeth Ann James of Copperas Cove and Sue M. Milligan of Lincoln, Neb., also survive as do sisters Jean Thompson of Everman and Jessie Cagle of Fort Worth. Tiller is also survived by 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family asks that memorial consideration be given to diabetes, heart and lung cancer associations.

Peterson
Hanse Joshua Peterson, 15, of Copperas Cove died Feb. 4, 2003, at his residence.
The family is planning a cremation. There was a visitation on Feb. 8 at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home.
He was born March 27, 1987, in Encino Calif. and was raised and educated in Mena, Ark., and Copperas Cove. He had attended S.C Lee Junior High School and was currently attending Copperas Cove High School as a freshman.
Peterson is survived by parents Heath and Donnene Peterson of Copperas Cove; brothers Heath J. Peterson II of Hatfield, Ark., Hugh Justin Peterson and Hal Jordan Peterson of Copperas Cove; and sister Harlena Jill Dyer of Seattle Wash. He was also survived by aunt and uncles William and Jill Hall and Joanne and Johnny Russell of Copperas Cove; Leanne and David Leach of Rosamond, Calif.; Resalie Stanfield of Pennsylvania; Jim Peterson of Iowa; and Judy and Nathan Moore, Larry and Chris Hall, Donald and Shiela Hall, Michael Hall and Dee Dee Hodge, all of Copperas Cove. He was also survived by grandparents Donald and Darlene Dawson of Flynn.

Tomlinson
Funeral services for Melania Michelle Tomlinson, 20, of Lampasas were held Feb. 8 at High Valley Baptist Church in Bend with Rev. George McHorse officiating. Burial followed at High Valley Cemetery. Tomlinson died Feb. 5 due to an auto accident.
Tomlinson was born Sept. 13, 1982 in Austin. She was married to Curtis Tomlinson in Hancock Park in Lampasas on Nov. 11, 2002. She was a member of High Valley Baptist Church in Bend and had been a member of the Lampasas community for 2 years.
Tomlinson was survived by parents Robert and Tammy Fullerton of Bend, husband Curtis Tomlinson of Lampasas, son Kyle Tomlinson of Lampasas, sister Theresa Fullerton of Bend, mother-in-law Mildred Smith of Lampasas, and maternal grandparents Jack and La Nell Daniels of Bend.

Thomas
Funeral services for Maggie M Thomas, 102, of Copperas Cove were held Feb. 10 at Crawford-Bower Chapel. Burial followed at the Copperas Cove City Cemetery. Thomas died Feb. 8 in Lampasas due to natural causes.
She was raised and educated in Coryell County. She was a homemaker and married Sidney Earl Thomas on Oct. 17, 1923, in Kempner.
Thomas was a member of the Methodist church and a life long member of the community.
Thomas was preceded in death by parents Ruben Millsaps and Ada Warren Millsaps; brothers Smoot, Allen and William Robert Millsaps; sisters Eva Millsaps and Myrtle Reding and by husband Sid Thomas.
Thomas was survived by sister Lola Oswalt of Killeen and four nieces and four nephews.

Bowman
Funeral services for Joseph Jachin Bowman, 19, of Copperas Cove were held Feb. 15 at Post Commanche Chapel with the Rev. Robert Diggs. Burial followed at the Copperas Cove City Cemetery. He died Feb. 4 in San Marcus due to natural causes.
Bowman was born in Fort Hood. He graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 2001. He was currently attending College at Southwest Texas University in San Marcos. He was studying Computer Science and was an Honorary student in high school and college. He was a member of God’s Angel Choir, on the Drill Team and an usher in the marching band in high school and in college. He was also a member of the Who’s Who Among America’s High School Students.
Bowman was a member of the Protestant church and a lifelong member of the community.
Bowman was survived by parents Joseph and Barbara Brown of Copperas Cove. He was also survived by sisters Natasha L. Bowman of Copperas Cove, Kimberly Bowman of Maryland and Karen Bowman of N.C and by maternal grandparent Mattie B. Dawson of Mississippi.
